BIOGRAPHY
Most recently I had a very successful show at the Susan Calloway Fine Arts Gallery in Georgetown, Washington, DC. You can see my new work on display there.
My style has evolved from transparent watercolor realism to landscapes in oil, experimental works on paper, and silver and gold leaf on wood panels. The foundation for this development began when I studied studio art at Colorado College and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and later as a student of art theory at the Barnes Foundation, Merion, PA.
I have participated in workshops with nationally recognized artists, college classes, and at the Royal Queensland Art Society, Australia. Recently an internship with the noted furniture and lighting design firm Niermann Weeks provided training in silver and gold leafing techniques.
I have received the Mid-Atlantic Exhibition Bronze Medal from the Baltimore Watercolor Society and several awards in exhibitions sponsored by The Art League located at the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, VA.
My paintings have been exhibited widely in the region including one woman shows at the Maryland Federation of Art and Garden Architects, Annapolis.
